And the story begins...

I was born in Richmond, VA; being the youngest of 5 siblings. I grew up in Spotsylvania on a dirt road in an extremely rural area with Lake Anna being the largest attraction for miles. It sounds like something your grandfather would say but its true: dirt roads still exist to this day. The nearest shopping center, fast food restaurant, and hospital were 45 minutes to an hour away. I always swore by living in the country and never leaving. I loved it. I was always outdoors and there were no cars rumbling by or neighbors screaming. I excelled in Spotsylvania County Public Schools and graduated from Spotsylvania High School in 2009. The teachers there, from elementary to high school, are the most dedicated and phenomenal support group one could have.

After relocating to the city and being here for 2 years, I have learned to love it even more than the country. There is always something to do, shops within walking distance, and people everywhere. It is completely opposite of where I grew up but home is now my getaway when a well-deserved break is planned.

Currently, I am attending Old Dominion University in Norfolk pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Communications. I am employed by Old Dominion University as a Resident Assistant for the Office of Housing & Residence Life. There is never a dull moment; something new and unheard of is bound to occur on a daily basis with residents but there is no greater feeling than being able to help someone in need. Since becoming actively involved in student life and activities, I realized my passion is life has always been helping others. Whether it is planning ODU’s Homecoming with the Student Activities Council, implementing a residence life program, or volunteering at a Fire Station, it always involves others.

Becoming a Brother of the Eta Chi Chapter of the Sigma Nu Fraternity, Inc. was my next step in becoming a better leader. It has opened a plethora of opportunities and I have some of the best friends a guy could have that I will take with me for life.

I plan to pursue a career in Higher Education but this chapter of my life is still being written.
